The practice of breath or any kind of breath control is referred to as pranayama. The meaning of Prana is Life Energy, the meaning of Yama Control is the meaning of breath or life energy. It contains Physiology, Methodology and Practicum. Pranayama is the process of the ultimate control of breathing or vital energy in the body. This subject includes the instruction of students on how to control their breath and on how to deal with vital energy in the central part of the body. The students should be professionally sound in Yoga, and it is a crucial topic for them.

In simple terms, Mudra translates to a sign language/gesture in order to express the state of mind using fingers. It stirs the inner and sleeping energy of the body of the yogi. Some of these yoga mudras include Jnanamudra/ Gyan mudra, Chinmaya mudra, Vayu mudra, Agni mudra, Varun mudra, Prana mudra and Surya mudra.

Jnana Mudra Chin Mudra Yoni Mudra Bhairava Mudra Hridaya Mudra Nasikagra Mudra Khechari Mudra

The English word, bandha, means to hold, tighten, bind or lock. When it is done over a long period, the prana energy will be stored somewhere within the body. It also, by way of Prana, averts Kundalini awakening.

A meditative state is a state of calmness of mind. It is a psychological process involving relaxation and concentration as well as awareness. This is the practice that is conducted in a sitting posture, mostly with eyes closed. It is a worthy subject on which our students can be trained to equip them on the professional front as they prepare their future as Yogics.

Introduction of Meditation Benefits of Meditation Om Meditation Mantra Chanting Meditation Soham Meditation Shiva Meditation Yoga Nidra Meditation Tratak (Candle) Meditation Chakra Meditation Buddha Meditation (Vipassana) Inner Light Meditation Prana Meditation Kundalini Meditation

This is a spiritual practice. Nevertheless, along with this, it is heavily recommended as a method of being emotionally and mentally level. By saying the mantras, you feel at ease and get into a state of happiness.

The yoga ideology is also dualist. Yoga Darshan or Philosophy is the purpose of the direction one should pursue and enjoy the whole life, or rather, attain salvation. It talks about the basic Yoga Philosophy, history and yoga concepts. It is a mixture of the ancient Yogic and the modern lifestyle.

Yoga is concerned with the body and body parts. The body must know its structure and functionalities to practice a particular act of yoga asana. It covers Anatomy. Physiology and anatomy are taught and described in small steps to improve the efficiency of classroom instructions, asana adjustments, and cues.

Ayurveda is an ancient medicine which developed in India several years ago. There are many herbs and natural remedies in India that not only cure the body, but also safeguard the body against any potential future diseases or illnesses.

Shatkarma is the purification method that encompasses 6 yogic purity actions (kriyas) as explained in the old texts on yoga. Its other name is Shatkriya. The entire body of a human being is purified with these six actions. In the class of Shatkarma, all six kriyas (Dhauti, Basti, Neti, Trataka, Nauli and Kapalbhati) have their descriptions. The Shatkarma is the sacralization of the body that is conducted in the early mornings concerning the activities of various Asanas.

Neti (Nasal cleansing technique) Trataka (Gazing practice) Kapalbhati (Cleansing the lungs) Dhauti (Vomitting practice) Nauli (Intra-abdominal massage) Basti (Reverse Enema)

Part of these methods includes adequate planning of the lesson, offering a welcoming atmosphere, offering alternatives and options to the poses and sequencing of the asanas, breathwork and even meditation in a logical orientation. It is also one of the conditions that teachers should be attentive to the needs of students, be able to communicate effectively, and assist in building a climate of personal and emotional development and safety.

Key Components of Yoga Teaching Methods

  • Verbal Instructions: Clearly, there is a need to employ clear and concise cues that guide students in poses, expressing the purpose that the movement is aimed to achieve, and the level of energy that the motion presupposes.
  • Demonstration: The teachers can demonstrate the poses in an attempt to provide the visual prompts (especially when the poses are complex or the classes are during the introductory lessons). It is important to note, however, that this must be accompanied by observation.
  • Observation: Tracking the needs and fit of the students implies that the teachers can provide students with specific instructions and make the necessary changes.
  • Adjustments: They can be assisted in perfecting their poses through either verbal or physical corrections to achieve perfection of alignment at all times, through their consent.

The kind of Yoga Alignment and Adjustment is quite important in correcting the posture; in addition, the Alignment will also provide you with the appropriate interpretation of the pose or asana.

Yoga Therapy refers to the aversion of a disease through yogic practices. Yoga therapy is meant to cure a number of different ailments using every component of yoga, including asanas and pranayama. In some manner, each of the processes affects the subtle to gross functions of the body.

Food: Sattvic & Healthy

Our food not only changes our physical condition, but also the way we feel, or the inner state of our mind. Yoga does not micro-disperse the food into proteins, carbohydrates, or fats, but is based on their effect on the body and mind. Sattvic food is that type of food that leaves you with energy and excitement.

The activity-giving or restless food is referred to as Rajasic.
Such food, which makes us sluggish, is known as Tamasic food.
