Rishikesh is situated at the foothills of the Himalayan mountain range, and is a very beautiful place for Yoga and meditation sessions. We chose this place for a retreat and a complete escape from the daily schedule. There are many times when we don’t realize that we are moving unconsciously, and it is the place where survival mode starts.

Many self-help books mention this kind of life in simple words. The problem with all of us is that we know everything, but we don’t realize that part. Aatm Yogshala is able to enhance the realisation part by giving you natural calmness. For retreat, you don’t need any kind of previous experience with Yoga and meditation. We will teach you and find which part of Yoga needs more focus from your side

Food not only determines our physical health, but also our thinking and feelings. Yoga does not divide food into protein, carbohydrate, and fats; it divides it into the influence on the body and the mind into three types: sattva, rajas, and tamas. Sattvic food is that which makes you feel enthusiastic and energetic.

Rajasic food is that food that causes agitation or busyness.
Tamasic food refers to food that makes us heavy and sluggish.

Aatm Yogashala offers accommodations which are a sparkling combination of Indian traditions and modern amenities to make the student feel a part of home out of his/her site and a good place to work as a learning environment in yoga. Both the yoga halls at Aatm are clean, neat, and have ample space in the lap of nature. We are persistent when it comes to providing our students with the most adequate environment to learn yoga, hence peaceful and quiet surroundings that are conducive to a healthy mind and body.

You will get a beautiful experience of Yoga and meditation with sound healing. Basic knowledge of Yoga and the history of Yoga will also be explained. Food and accommodation is also provided by us with better hygiene and quality.

There are different paths you can come here by airways, by railways, by bus, or by cab. The nearest railway station is Yog Nagri Rishikesh, nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport. You can book a cab, or you can also tell us about your arrival, and we will book a cab for you directly to our place.

Daily lifestyle needs with proper accommodations, and food will be provided to you by our side. You have to bring your personal stuff and medicine, a reusable water bottle, a journal, and comfortable yoga clothing.

No, it is not necessary to have experience of yoga; you may take it as a meditation escape. In certification courses, we expect that you have an idea of Yoga and some basic poses, but not in the Yoga and meditation retreat.
